Request the registration in the Registry of Italian citizens residing abroad (AIRE)

The service allows you to request registration in A.I.R.E. (Registry of Italians Residing Abroad). You can find all related information on the website of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, under the 'Consular Services' section.
The procedure through the Fast It Portal enables Italian citizens living abroad to apply for A.I.R.E. registration by filling in the online form and attaching their ID document and proof of residence directly in electronic format.
The necessary steps for the registration procedure are:
– Registration. You have two options:
• Access with SPID (follow the dedicated procedure);
• Register with traditional credentials (email and password): you will need to enter your personal details.
– Log in to your personal area.
– Complete the online form.
– Print the form: the signature of all adult household members involved in the residence declaration is required.
– Take a photo or scan the signed form.
– Prepare the attachments:
• Completed and signed form
• ID documents relating all family members
• Documentation proving residence in the consular district.
You will need access to a printer and a camera or scanner. To view and print PDF files, you must have Adobe Acrobat Reader or another program for handling PDF documents installed on your computer.

Note: This service allows you to submit a request, but it does not guarantee automatic acceptance : Please pay close attention to email communications that may come from the consular office regarding the processing of your request. It's also a good idea to check your spam folder.
